Refund And Cancellation Policy

Lakshoppe operates as a parcel forwarding and assisted e-commerce logistics platform serving residents of Lakshadweep.

Because Lakshoppe is a logistics service provider and not a direct seller of products, our refund and cancellation policies differ from standard e-commerce platforms.

Please read this policy carefully before using our services.


1. Order Cancellation (Before Parcel Reaches Warehouse)

Lakshoppe does not control orders placed on third-party platforms such as:

  • Amazon India

  • Flipkart

If you wish to cancel a product order:

  • You must cancel directly on the respective shopping platform.

  • Lakshoppe is not responsible for seller-side cancellations or refunds.

  • Lakshoppe forwarding charges will not apply if the parcel never reaches our warehouse.


2. Cancellation After Parcel Reaches Kochi Warehouse

Once a parcel arrives at Lakshoppe’s warehouse:

  • Forwarding charges become applicable.

  • If you request cancellation at this stage:

You may choose one of the following options:

Option A: Return to Seller

  • Customer must arrange return pickup through the original platform.

  • Return shipping cost (if any) will be borne by the customer.

  • Lakshoppe may charge handling fees.

Option B: Hold at Warehouse

  • Parcel may be held for a limited storage period.

  • Storage fees may apply beyond the free holding period.

Lakshoppe is not responsible for seller return rejections.


3. Forwarding Charge Refund Policy

Forwarding charges are:

  • Non-refundable once shipment from Kochi has been initiated.

  • Non-refundable after parcel has been dispatched to Lakshadweep.

Refunds may only be considered if:

  • Duplicate payment occurred.

  • Billing error from Lakshoppe side.

  • Shipment was cancelled by Lakshoppe before dispatch.

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.


4. Damaged or Missing Items

Lakshoppe is responsible only for:

  • Safe handling from warehouse to island delivery.

Lakshoppe is NOT responsible for:

  • Product defects

  • Seller-side packing issues

  • Manufacturing damage

  • Incorrect product sent by seller

If parcel is visibly damaged during transit:

  • Customer must report immediately at time of delivery.

  • Proof photos may be required.

  • Claims will be evaluated internally.

Compensation (if applicable) will be limited to forwarding charge amount unless insured.


5. Non-Delivery Due to Incorrect Details

Lakshoppe will not issue refunds if delivery fails due to:

  • Incorrect island address

  • Incorrect contact number

  • Customer unavailable during delivery

  • Refusal to accept parcel

Re-delivery charges may apply.


6. Affiliate Purchases

Lakshoppe may earn affiliate commissions from platforms like:

  • Amazon India

  • Flipkart

Product refunds, returns, or replacements are governed entirely by those platforms’ policies. Lakshoppe does not control or process product refunds.


7. Refund Processing Method

Approved refunds will be processed via:

  • Original payment method
    or

  • Bank transfer (if required)

Lakshoppe does not provide cash refunds.


8. Force Majeure

Lakshoppe shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or losses caused by:

  • Weather conditions

  • Sea cargo disruptions

  • Government restrictions

  • Aviation cargo rules

  • Natural disasters

  • Administrative regulations applicable to Lakshadweep


9. Account Suspension & Violations

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • User violates Prohibited Items Policy

  • Fraudulent activity is detected

  • False claims are made

Lakshoppe reserves the right to suspend such accounts.
